SHRI SUMAN LAHA, born in Calcutta in 1969 is one of the talented artist in the unfathomable depth of music. A vivid imagination, aesthetical sense and virtuosity make him one of the finest artist in his distinctive style. He is an exceptional personality of the musical world as a highly expressionist and in his spontaneous way of playing the Classical Guitar. Suman's first awakening to the musical world being perpetuated by none other but his grand uncle late Shri Nandu Mallick (who was a good friend of Pt. Ravi Shankar and Utsad Ali Akbar Khan and whose instruments created some of the best music of the century in hinds of Pt. Rabi Shankar, Ustad Ali Akbar Khan and Smt. Annapurna Devi.) Groomed in the purest senia tradition by eminent masters like Pt. Shyamal Chattapadhyay and Ustad Aashis Khan Sahib, he has rapidly grown into one of the exponents of Indian Classical music.

He is one of the most gifted instrumentalists in contemporary Hindustani music, is an extraordinary performer with technical accuracy, and sets a remarkable example for many youths around the world.
